Loose Leaf Tea Canisters Strawberry Hibiscus
ABOUT STRAWBERRY HIBISCUS Tea Type : Oolong Tea Our Strawberry Hibiscus is an exceptional oolong tea blend, pairing subtle floral undertones with a sweet hint of strawberry. Created especially for the limited-edition Jardin Collection in collaboration with The New York Botanical Garden, this blend brings a delicate sweetness to the familiar comforts of hibiscus petals and organic oolong tea leaves, releasing a fragrance reminiscent of a leisurely garden stroll. The result is an easy-drinking tea, perfectly enjoyed hot or iced. Similar to black tea, oolong tea is made from the mature leaves of the camellia sinensis plant, which are wilted, partially oxidized, dried, and fired before blending with signature ingredients to create a custom flavor profile. Strawberry, better known to botanists as fragaria x ananassa, is known around the world as a juicy, aromatic fruit enjoyed fresh from the vine or incorporated into any number of dishes. Hailing from Brittany, France, the hybrid species is a relatively new berry, only dating back to the 18th century. Blended with the subtle tang of hibiscus, it evokes a sense of springtime, sweetness, and renewal. This blend's botanical pedigree is echoed in its custom-designed packaging. The Jardin Collection has been given an elegant floral treatment with a mélange of original artwork by renowned Belgian artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté (1759-1840), who served as an official artist in the courts of both Marie Antoinette and Josephine Bonaparte. When enjoying a cup of Strawberry Hibiscus, a hint of sugar or honey brings the blend's floral notes to the forefront. Tea purists, however, may enjoy it simply steeped in water without any accoutrements. It may be served hot or iced. This blend is certified Kosher.
